Daqing Piao, Ph.D.

Oklahoma State University
Daqing (Daching) Piao is Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Oklahoma State University (OSU), Stillwater, OK. He earned PHD in Biomedical Engineering in 2003 from University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT and has been in the faculty of OSU since 2005. His research centers on understanding and applying the interaction between visible to near-light light and complex media including soft tissue. On the application to meat science, his research has focused on developing non-contact optical technologies to assess myoglobin forms to help understand color stability of beef.
